ZENTEL® is a benzimidazole carbamate with polyvalent anthelmintic activity and against protozoa, which is effective in the treatment of the following intestinal and tissue parasites: Ascaris lumbricoides, Enterobius vermicularis, Necator americanus, Ancylostoma duodenale, Trichuris trichuraco, Strong Taralisyloidesen ster sp., Hymenolepis nana (only in case of associated parasitism), Chlonorchis sinensis, Opistorchis viverrini and cutaneous larva migrans. Giardiasis (Giardia lamblia, Giardia duodenalis, Giardia intestinalis, Lamblia intestinalis) in children. Gnathostomiasis (caused by Gnathostoma spinigerum and related species).
Indications:
- Treatment of intestinal worm infections caused by:
- Roundworms (Ascaris lumbricoides)
- Hookworms (Ancylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus)
- Whipworms (Trichuris trichiura)
- Tapeworms (Taenia solium, Taenia saginata)
- Other helminthic infections (as determined by a healthcare provider).
How It Works:
- Albendazole: It interferes with the worms' ability to absorb glucose, leading to their death. Albendazole affects various stages of the parasite's lifecycle, including eggs, larvae, and adult worms.
Dosage and Administration:
- Recommended Dose:
- Typically, one 200 mg tablet twice a day for a specified duration, depending on the type and severity of the infection.
- The treatment regimen may vary based on the infection, and it is essential to follow the healthcare provider’s recommendations.
- Administration:
- Take the tablet orally, with or without food.
- For better absorption, it may be taken with fatty foods.
Precautions:
- Not recommended for individuals with known hypersensitivity to Albendazole or any of the excipients in the formulation.
- Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney disease.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a healthcare provider before taking this medication.
- May require periodic blood tests to monitor liver function during prolonged treatment.
Side Effects:

- Rare:

We offer the guarantee that your product will have at least 10 months of use at the time of sale, however most of the drugs we sell have an expiration date greater than 1 to 2 years
