BRAXAN® (Amiodarone Hydrochloride) is an antiarrhythmic indicated for the prevention of angina pectoris attacks and for the prevention and suppression of paroxysmal or permanent atrial and supraventricular tachycardia. It is also used in the treatment of recurrent atrial and ventricular flutter and in pre-excitation syndrome (Wolf Parkinson White) and in bradycardia-tachycardia syndrome.
Properties: Amiodarone is an iodinated benzofuranic derivative, structurally related to thyroxine, which exerts its coronary vasodilator effect and simultaneously decreases peripheral resistance, as well as the frequency of myocardial contractility, which contributes to reestablishing the oxygenation balance. It has antiarrhythmic properties that are attributed to its action of lengthening the duration of the action potential and the refractory period of the atria, ventricles and atrioventricular node and the specialized conduction system, decreasing the sinus rate by 12 to 15%. It slows down sympathetic activity at the level of alpha and beta receptors. Its hemodynamic effects include bradycardia, a drop in coronary and peripheral vascular resistance, and an increase in cardiac output. Decreases the frequency and intensity of anginal attacks and nitroglycerin consumption after taking it orally for three to four weeks.
It can be used safely in critically ill patients with congestive heart failure or myocardial infarction, as it produces few undesirable cardiac effects. Furthermore, it has a broad spectrum of activity at all levels of the heart and is the antiarrhythmic with the best overall efficiency, whether the arrhythmia mechanism is reentry or ectopic focus, mainly in severe arrhythmias refractory to other treatments. In rebellious cases of recurrent ventricular tachycardias, it should be associated with quinidine.
BRAXAN® (amiodarone hydrochloride) increases oxygen delivery to the myocardium by increasing coronary output. It reduces oxygen consumption, lowers the heart rate and reduces peripheral resistance. It brakes without blocking adrenergic reactions, thus acting directly on the trigger of the anginal crisis.

We offer the guarantee that your product will have at least 10 months of use at the time of sale, however most of the drugs we sell have an expiration date greater than 1 to 2 years
