Epilepsy: EPIVAL is indicated as monotherapy and complementary therapy in the treatment of patients with complex partial seizures that occur in isolation or associated with another type of seizure.
EPIVAL is also indicated as monotherapy or complementary therapy for the treatment of simple and complex absence seizures and in a complementary manner in patients with multiple types of seizures that include absence seizures.
Simple absence is defined as a very brief loss of sensory or consciousness accompanied by certain generalized epileptic discharges without other detectable clinical signs. Complex absence is the term used when other signs are also present.

Migraine: Valproate semisodium tablets are indicated for the prophylaxis of migraine. There is no evidence that semisodium valproate is helpful in the acute treatment of migraine.
Because valproic acid can harm the fetus, semisodium valproate should not be considered for women of potential pregnancy unless the drug is essential for the management of their medical condition (see Restrictions on Use During Pregnancy and Lactation). .
Semisodium valproate is contraindicated as a migraine prophylactic in pregnant women (see Restrictions on use during pregnancy and lactation).
Mania: Valproate semisodium tablets are indicated for the treatment of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder.
A manic episode is characterized by a period of abnormality and a persistently elevated, expansive, or irritable mood. Typical symptoms of mania include pressure in speech, motor hyperactivity, reduced need for sleep, brain drain, megalomania, poor judgment, aggressiveness, and possible hostility.
The efficacy of semisodium valproate was established in a three-week study in patients who met DSM-III-R criteria for bipolar disorder and who were hospitalized for acute mania.
The safety and efficacy of semisodium valproate for long-term use in mania, for example, more than three weeks, has not been systematically evaluated in controlled clinical studies. Therefore, clinicians who choose to use semisodium valproate for long periods must continually evaluate the long-term usefulness of the drug for each individual patient.

We offer the guarantee that your product will have at least 10 months of use at the time of sale, however most of the drugs we sell have an expiration date greater than 1 to 2 years
