BORCATHOX OFTENO® is indicated as an adjunct in the treatment of conjunctival hyperemia, burning, dryness and a foreign body sensation due to environmental irritation by any agent, solar rays, dust, air, chlorinated water, weak chemical agents, and / or any situation causing associated eye irritation. It is also useful as a supplement in the treatment of infectious and inflammatory eye conditions.
Advantages: BORCATHOX OFTENO® combines in a single product the vasoconstrictor action of oxymetazoline that produces immediate relief and well-being for red and irritated eyes, with a very low incidence of systemic effects and the moisturizing effect of carboxymethylcellulose; Oxymetazoline is an adrenergic agonist vasoconstrictor derived from imidazoles with a powerful sympathomimetic activity that is characterized by its rapid and persistent action, as well as its easy dosage. The vasoconstriction effect is carried out by stimulation of alpha adrenergic receptors. Together they make a very useful product to treat ocular hyperemia, the sensation of a foreign body and discomfort from other causes, such as chronic or acute irritation, secondary to infections, or in the postoperative period; its low incidence of systemic effects makes it a safe and effective product.
Sodium carboxymethylcellulose is an anionic polymer that, due to its viscoelastic characteristics, contributes to the lubrication of the ocular surface, in addition to improving symptoms by increasing the stability of the precorneal tear film to maintain a healthy ocular surface and protect the ocular surface against environmental aggressions. Due to its polysaccharide molecular characteristics, it has a retentive property that favors the permanence of the compound on the ocular surface.

We offer the guarantee that your product will have at least 10 months of use at the time of sale, however most of the drugs we sell have an expiration date greater than 1 to 2 years
